Gabion mesh is a net cage woven by hexagonal wire mesh. The diameter of the metal wire for the mesh varies according to size of the hexagon. In case of metal coated hexagonal wire mesh, the metal wire with wire diameter of 2.0 mm to 4.0mm will be used; in case of PVC coated hexagonal wire mesh, the PVC (metal) wire with outside diameter of 3.0mm to 4.5mm will be used. The wire at the edge of the mesh frame is one size larger than the hexagonal wire.
